It’s that time of year again: the sun is shining, the grass is showing, and the smell of dirt is in the air. Softball at Nardin this year is in a bit of a rebuild process; with the loss of several seniors from last year and a devastating injury to starting first baseman Kat Farrell this year, it’s been a tough season for the Gators.

Fortunately, there is hope. Freshman pitchers Claire Donofrio and Caitlyn Murray are showing promise already at their young age. In addition, freshman JV player Chelsea Bennett was called up this season to fill in at first and has truly risen to the occasion.

Though this season has been a hard one for Varsity Softball, the team can only improve from here. With JV sophomores becoming juniors and the added improvement of our freshman players, next year is looking bright.
