Every year at about the same time
Heat is gone. You need a sweater on top.
The wind blowing, you hear the wind chimes chime.
Pouring and pouring, you wish it would stop.
The kids whine for school is back in session.
Leaves have fallen. My time now spent raking.
This work causes a state of depression.
The dew on the ground now begins flaking.
Even though autumn may seem like a chore,
You experience the beauty of the leaves.
Pick from the pumpkins, apples, and squash galore.
Just get down in the dirt and roll up your sleeves.
Although fall may be rainy and chilly,
It is just the perfect season for me.
