Nardin XC Takes Home the Gold

September 10th started the Nardin Cross Country Season with an astonishing victory. At the first annual Fredonia State Invitational, the Nardin gators came prepared and focused, and determined to sweep the course. Bethy Mercer, a sophomore took the title of first in the womens’ category, setting the new course record at Erie State Park. The course record Bethy set is 22:14.Through the long 3.1 miles, Bethy stuck it out and ran hard the last stretch. Senior Christina Seitz, placed second right behind Bethy. Through teamwork, and encouragement Bethy, Christina and fourth place senior Mary Claire Hart were able to place in the top five finishers. Other acknowledgments go to Sarah Ables, a senior who came in at the sixth position, Caroline Colpoys, a freshman came in seventh, and lastly in the top ten finishers Kaela Natwora, a sophomore who ran in at ninth place.
